“Water is Life” — Clean Water for Somalia

About This Campaign

Our focus is to:

• 🚰 Provide emergency water trucking to remote and displaced communities
• 🛠️ Build deep wells and boreholes for long-term water access
• 💧 Install water purification systems to make unsafe water drinkable
• 🏚️ Reach families in camps who have no reliable water source

We aim to ensure immediate relief and lasting impact, bi’idhnillah (by the will of Allah).

Somalia is facing one of the worst droughts in decades. Nearly 5 million people are affected by severe water shortages, with entire communities left without access to clean water.

Rainfall levels have dropped drastically—up to 60% below average in some regions, drying wells and forcing families to walk miles in search of water.

The crisis is worsening:

• 6.5 million people face extreme hunger, largely driven by drought and water scarcity
• Water prices have skyrocketed, making it unaffordable for many families
• Children are suffering from preventable diseases like cholera and severe dehydration

At the same time, places like Beirut, Lebanon are also facing serious water shortages, where damaged infrastructure and drought-like conditions have reduced access to clean water, forcing many to rely on expensive water trucking.

For struggling families, unsafe water is often the only option—putting lives at constant risk.

As Allah reminds us:
“And We made from water every living thing.” (Qur’an 21:30)

Dirty water leads to deadly diseases—especially for children.

Your Sadaqah (صدقة) can provide pure water, a source of Shifa (شفاء), and become a means of Sadaqah Jariyah (صدقة جارية)—ongoing reward, InshaAllah.
